White Rocks and White Stone for Landscaping
White stone is the highest-turnover colour in almost every landscape yard. The difference between a bright white that sells and a grey-white that sits on the shelf is sorting, and that is where most orders go wrong.
- Natural white stone — never painted or bleached
- Sorted for brightness, not just size
- Pebble, chip and cobble profiles available
- Washed to remove dust that dulls the colour

Why white stone is graded by brightness
Two loads with the same size band can look completely different on a shelf. We sort white stone into a premium bright grade and a more economical off-white grade, and quote them separately so you only pay for brightness where the customer will notice it.
Choosing pebbles, chips or cobbles
Rounded white pebbles look softer and suit beds and pots. Angular white chips reflect more light and stay put on slopes. Larger white cobbles are used as accents and edging. Many buyers stock one of each rather than three sizes of the same profile.
Keeping white stone white outdoors
White stone dulls when soil splashes up or organic debris settles. A weed membrane beneath the layer and a 40–50 mm depth keeps soil from surfacing. Rinsing with a hose restores most of the brightness — that advice sells more stone than promising it never dulls.
Washing and dust control before packing
Cutting and screening leave a fine dust that cakes inside a sealed bag and makes the stone look grey when opened. We wash and dry before packing so the bag matches the sample the customer saw.
Coverage and depth for white stone
White needs a slightly deeper layer than dark stone because any dark soil showing through is obvious. Plan on 50 mm rather than 30 mm, which is around 70 kg per square metre for a 10–20 mm grade.
Ordering formats that suit retail
Printed 20 kg bags, one-tonne jumbo bags and loose bulk all come from the same washed batch. Retail buyers usually take a mix so the shelf line and the yard line never differ in colour.

Questions buyers ask about white rocks for landscaping
- Is your white stone natural or painted?
- Natural. Colour comes from the stone itself, so it does not fade, flake or leach onto paving.
- What size white rock is best for garden beds?
- 10–20 mm is the most popular for beds and borders. 20–40 mm suits larger areas and 40 mm+ works as accent stone.
- Will white landscaping rock turn yellow?
- Natural stone does not yellow, but soil splash and organic debris can stain it. A membrane underneath and an occasional rinse keeps it bright.
- Do you supply white rock in bulk bags?
- Yes — loose bulk, one-tonne jumbo bags and 20–25 kg retail bags, all from the same production batch.
- How much white rock do I need?
- Roughly 70 kg per square metre at a 50 mm depth, which is the depth we recommend for white so no soil shows through.
- Can I get a sample before ordering?
- Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the size band you want and we send current batch photographs and a physical sample.
