Green Marble Chips and Green Aggregate

Green is the hardest colour to hold consistent in natural stone, which is exactly why buyers ask about it. We sort green marble chips by tone band, not just by size, so a second container matches the first closely enough to lay next to it.

  • Colour-sorted into tone bands, not just size grades
  • Washed and dust-free for clean laying
  • 6–20 mm grades for terrazzo and landscaping
  • Sealed reference samples held against your batch

Why green is harder to match

Green marble takes its colour from mineral veining that varies across the quarry face. Two loads cut weeks apart can differ visibly. Our answer is a tone band system: material is sorted against sealed reference samples so repeat orders land inside the same band rather than anywhere in the natural range.

Terrazzo and precast use

Terrazzo producers need the chip washed, dry and free of fines so the binder bonds cleanly and the polished face reads sharp. We supply to that standard by default, with size grading tight enough that the exposed aggregate pattern stays even across a poured floor.

Landscape use and weathering

Outdoors, green marble holds its colour well but will gradually dull as surface polish weathers. In high-rainfall climates a light rinse restores it. Where a permanently sharp colour is needed, buyers often specify the chip for sheltered beds, planters and courtyards rather than open exposed ground.

Grades and where each is used

3–6 mm goes into terrazzo and fine cast work; 6–10 mm is the standard decorative garden chip; 10–20 mm suits ground cover and larger planters; 20–40 mm is used where a bolder aggregate reads better at a distance.

Packing and consolidation

Marble chip is commonly ordered as one colour within a mixed container of white, black and green. That keeps freight efficient for an importer building a multi-colour retail range without committing a full load to one tone.

Wholesale, bulk and export details

This product is supplied on the same commercial basis as the rest of our range: quantity confirmed against container payload, packing quoted separately and documentation prepared to your broker's brief.

Questions buyers ask about green marble chips

Will two orders of green marble chips match?
Closely, because we sort against a sealed reference sample from your approved batch. Natural stone will always carry some variation, but tone-band sorting keeps consecutive orders within a range you can lay side by side.
Is green marble chip suitable for terrazzo?
Yes. It is washed, dried and graded so the binder bonds cleanly, and the size spread is tight enough for an even exposed pattern.
Does the colour fade outdoors?
The stone does not lose its colour, but surface polish dulls with weathering. A rinse restores much of the depth; for permanently high gloss, sheltered locations perform better.
What sizes do you supply?
3–6 mm, 6–10 mm, 10–20 mm and 20–40 mm as standard. Other bands can be screened to order given enough volume.
Can I mix colours in one container?
Yes, and most importers do. White, black and green marble chip in one load is a common way to launch a three-SKU retail range without over-committing on any single colour.
How is it priced?
Per tonne, with packing quoted separately. Tighter tone-band sorting on green carries a small premium because yield per tonne processed is lower.
