Pebbles Exporter in India for International Importers
This page is written for the person deciding whether to place a first container with an Indian pebble exporter. It covers what we source, where it comes from, how much we can move in a shipping cycle, and the commercial terms we work on — the questions that actually decide a sourcing shortlist.

What we export and where it is sourced
Our range is natural stone rather than manufactured aggregate: river-tumbled pebbles, quarry-sourced coloured pebbles, marble and granite chips, slate chippings and larger cobbles and boulders. Material comes from established stone belts across western and central India — Rajasthan for marble, sandstone and quartz-based material, Gujarat and Maharashtra for river-worn and basalt stone, and Andhra and Karnataka for granite-based chips.
Because these are different geological sources, colour consistency is a sourcing decision, not a processing one. When you approve a sample we record which source and batch it came from so a repeat container can be matched to it rather than re-sourced from whatever is available that month.
Export capability in practical terms
Capability is only useful to a buyer as numbers they can plan against. A 20 ft container of stone reaches its weight limit long before its volume limit, so the realistic payload sits in the 26–28 tonne range depending on packing and the destination's road weight rules. A 40 ft container is used mainly when material is light, bagged and palletised, or when several products are consolidated.
For a first order, one container is normal. For distributors running a season, we plan sorting against a schedule so containers two and three match the first rather than starting from scratch each time.
Documentation and compliance we handle
Every shipment goes out with a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin, and wood packaging is heat-treated to ISPM-15 where pallets are used. Additional certificates — fumigation, inspection, GSP or preferential origin where applicable — are prepared when your broker specifies them. We do not claim a certificate applies to your market until your customs broker confirms it, because classification and preference rules differ by destination.
How to shortlist an exporter
Ask three questions of any exporter, including us. First, can the sample come from the batch that will actually ship? Second, what is the written size tolerance and colour variation range? Third, how is the quotation broken down between material, packing, inland haulage and port charges? An exporter who answers all three in specifics is worth a trial container.
At a glance
| Question | What a specific answer looks like |
|---|---|
| Sourcing region | Named stone belt and source type for each product, not just "India" |
| Size tolerance | A stated band, e.g. 20–40 mm with an agreed percentage of undersize |
| Payload assumption | Tonnage quoted against your destination's container weight rules |
| Packing format | Bag weight, bag type, pallet configuration and wrapping in writing |
| Quotation basis | FOB, CIF or DDP stated with the named port, not a bare per-tonne number |
Questions buyers ask
- Are you a trading house or do you control the material?
- We work directly with sorting and packing at source rather than buying finished loads on the open market, which is what makes matching a repeat container to an approved sample possible.
- What is a realistic first order from an Indian pebble exporter?
- One full container, usually consolidating two to four products so you can test which sells before committing to a single line at volume.
- How long does a first shipment take from enquiry to loading?
- Specification and sampling usually take the longest. Once the sample is approved and payment terms are agreed, sorting, packing and loading is planned against your sailing date rather than promised as a fixed number.
- Do you export to buyers who already import from another country?
- Frequently. Buyers switching or adding a second source usually send an existing sample and ask whether it can be matched — send it and we will tell you honestly whether it can.
