White Marble Chips for Landscaping and Terrazzo

White marble chips are the brightest angular white stone most buyers stock. They suit garden centres, terrazzo factories and landscape yards that need a clean, reflective surface without the rounded profile of pebbles.

  • Snow-white and off-white grades
  • Washed clean of marble dust and fines
  • Angular chip profile that stays in place
  • Bulk, jumbo bags, 20–25 kg bags or retail packs

Why white marble chips outsell other white chippings

Marble chips reflect more light than limestone or quartz alternatives and keep a harder, brighter face after weathering. For buyers who want the brightest possible white at a lower price than polished pebbles, white marble chips are the default choice.

Grades and colour consistency

Snow-white is the brightest and most tightly sorted grade. Off-white is more economical and hides outdoor dust better. We quote the two grades separately so buyers do not overpay for brightness where it is not needed.

Washing and dust control

Unwashed marble carries a fine white dust that dulls the stone and cakes inside the bag. We wash and re-screen before packing so the chips arrive clean and the bag looks the same as the sample.

Coverage and bag maths

At a 30 mm bed depth, one 25 kg bag of 10–20 mm white marble chips covers roughly 0.4 square metres, and one tonne covers roughly 16–18 square metres because angular chips pack tighter than rounded pebbles.

Terrazzo and cast-stone use

For terrazzo and exposed aggregate concrete, the 2–8 mm bands are most common. Colour consistency and low dust matter because the chips are mixed into a matrix rather than laid on top, so any off-colour or fines change the finished appearance.

Retail versus bulk formats

The same washed 8–12 mm white chip can be packed as loose bulk, jumbo bags or printed 20 kg retail bags. We run all three formats from the same production batch so quality does not vary by channel.

Common specification mistake

Buyers sometimes order white marble chips for daily-use driveways expecting them to behave like crushed granite. Marble chips are softer and can polish smooth under tyre traffic, becoming slippery when wet. They are better suited to garden paths, beds and light-traffic areas.

Container loading and matching repeat orders

Marble chips are lighter per volume than granite, so a 20ft container typically reaches 22–24 tonnes. For repeat orders we retain a sealed reference sample so the next batch matches the first, which matters for garden centre shelf consistency.

Questions buyers ask about white marble chips

What sizes of white marble chips do you supply?
2–4 mm, 4–8 mm, 8–12 mm, 10–20 mm and 20–40 mm. The 8–12 mm and 10–20 mm bands are the most popular for landscaping.
Are white marble chips suitable for terrazzo?
Yes — the smaller 2–8 mm grades are commonly used as terrazzo aggregate and exposed aggregate facing. Send your matrix specification for a matched quote.
How do white marble chips compare with white pebbles?
Chips are angular, brighter and stay in place on slopes. Pebbles are rounded, softer-looking and better for beds and pot topping.
Can I get printed retail bags?
Yes. We pack 20–25 kg bags with your artwork, or supply plain bags for your own labelling.
Do white marble chips discolour outdoors?
They weather to a slightly softer white over time but remain brighter than limestone. A periodic rinse restores most of the original brightness.
What is the minimum order?
One 20 ft container, which can be split across several grades and pack formats.
Do you send samples before shipping?
Yes — a sample set or current-batch photographs are approved before loading, and we hold that reference for repeat orders.
Are the chips dyed?
No. The colour is natural marble, washed and sorted. We do not supply dyed or coated stone.
