Snow White Pebbles and Bright White Stone

Every importer selling white stone hits the same problem: the second container is not as white as the first. Brightness is a sorting standard, not a quarry guarantee. We sort snow white to a stated whiteness band and hold the sample so repeat orders hold up.

  • Hand-sorted to a stated whiteness band
  • Off-white and yellow-veined stones removed
  • Washed and dried — arrives bright, not dusty

What separates snow white from standard white

Standard white pebble is a mixed run that includes cream, grey-veined and faintly yellow stones. Snow white is the top sorted fraction of that run, with off-tone pieces pulled out by hand. It costs more per tonne because the yield from the same processed volume is far lower — that difference in yield is the whole product.

Keeping it white on site

White stone shows dirt more than any other colour, and most discolouration comes from soil splash and organic litter rather than the stone itself. Laying over a permeable membrane, keeping a small edge lip, and rinsing annually keeps a white bed looking new for years.

Sizes and where each performs

10–20 mm is the retail bagging size and the most common in pots and small beds. 20–40 mm is the general landscaping choice with the best coverage-to-cost ratio. 40–60 mm and above read as a feature stone in large open beds and around specimen planting.

How we protect brightness in transit

Washed stone that is bagged damp can bloom or pick up staining from packaging. We dry before packing and use clean liners, so the material that opens at your warehouse looks like the sample that was approved.

Sampling before you commit

For white above all colours, approve a physical sample rather than a photograph — screens flatten the difference between bright white and cream. We ship sealed samples and keep a duplicate as the production reference.

Wholesale, bulk and export details

This product is supplied on the same commercial basis as the rest of our range: quantity confirmed against container payload, packing quoted separately and documentation prepared to your broker's brief.

Questions buyers ask about snow white pebbles

How white is snow white pebble?
It is the brightest hand-sorted fraction of the white run, with cream, grey-veined and yellow-tinted pieces removed. We define it against a physical sample rather than a description, because whiteness is judged by eye.
Why is it more expensive than standard white?
Yield. Getting one tonne of top-sorted snow white takes several tonnes of processed white run plus hand sorting labour. You are buying the sorting, not a different stone.
Will it turn yellow over time?
Natural white stone does not yellow chemically, but soil splash, algae and organic debris discolour the surface. A membrane underneath and an occasional rinse keep it bright.
Which size sells best at retail?
10–20 mm in 20–25 kg bags is the strongest retail seller because it suits both pots and small beds and is light enough for a customer to carry.
Can you match a sample we already sell?
Yes. Send your current stone and we will sort against it, then hold a sealed duplicate as the reference for every repeat order.
How much covers a square metre?
At a 50 mm depth allow roughly 75–80 kg per square metre. Send your total area and we will convert it to tonnage and container count.
