Brown Pebbles and Brown Landscaping Stone

Brown pebbles sell steadily because they sit well against brick, timber decking and terracotta without the glare of white stone. We supply natural brown river and quarried pebbles in consistent tonal bands rather than a random mixed load.

  • Tan, chocolate and mottled brown tones held to an agreed sample
  • Natural colour — never dyed or coated
  • Washed and hand-sorted to remove off-tone stone

Why brown sells alongside white and black

Most importers start with white and black because they photograph well, then find their repeat volume sits in warm neutrals. Brown hides dust and leaf litter far better than white, which means fewer customer complaints about stone looking dirty a season after it was laid.

Controlling the tonal range

Brown is the hardest colour family to keep consistent because natural stone varies from batch to batch. We agree a physical reference sample with an acceptable light-to-dark spread before production, then sort against it, so a repeat order blends with what you already have on the yard.

Size choice by end use

10-20 mm suits pot topping and narrow borders, 20-40 mm is the volume seller for general ground cover, and 40-60 mm reads better across large beds where a smaller stone would visually disappear. Larger 60-100 mm pieces work as accent stone around feature planting.

Packing for retail and bulk

Retail programmes normally take 20 kg poly bags with your own artwork, palletised and shrink-wrapped. Landscaping yards prefer jumbo bags or loose bulk. Both can travel in the same container if you split the load.

Ordering quantities

A 20 ft container carries roughly 25-27 tonnes. That is typically 1,000-1,250 retail bags, which for most garden centres is a full season of one colour. Mixed containers let you trial brown against your existing lines without committing a full load.

Wholesale, bulk and export details

This product is supplied on the same commercial basis as the rest of our range: quantity confirmed against container payload, packing quoted separately and documentation prepared to your broker's brief.

Questions buyers ask about brown pebbles

Is the brown colour natural?
Yes. The tone comes from the mineral content of the stone itself. We do not supply dyed or painted material, because coated stone fades within a season or two outdoors and generates returns.
Will a repeat order match my current stock?
We keep your approved reference sample on file and sort each batch against it. Natural stone always carries some variation, but the agreed spread keeps repeat loads visually compatible.
Which size sells best at retail?
20-40 mm is the strongest seller in bagged ranges. It covers ground economically, is heavy enough not to scatter, and looks right in both beds and pots.
Do brown pebbles change colour when wet?
They deepen noticeably when wet, the same as any natural stone. Always show customers a wetted sample alongside a dry one so expectations are set correctly.
Can I mix brown with other colours in one container?
Yes. Mixed containers are common and let you carry several colour SKUs without holding a full load of each.
What is the minimum order?
One 20 ft container for export. Smaller trial quantities can be quoted as part of a shared load where the destination and timing allow.
